New Delivery Platform Offers an Alternative to Costly Third-Party Solutions for Fast-Casual and Quick Service Restaurant Chains

BETHESDA, MD — October 1, 2018 – Qu (formerly Gusto POS), the company that is reimagining the role of POS, has announced the launch of its new delivery management platform to meet the evolving needs of fast casual and quick service restaurant chains. With guests showing an increasing preference for high-quality food delivery, restaurants are seeing rapid growth in their delivery business. Up until now, costly 3rd party delivery solutions provided the only viable option to offer food delivery. Qu’s delivery management platform changes this by offering restaurant chains a cloud-based platform that empowers them to bring delivery in-house.

“Delivery is a growing part of our business,” said Patrick Sugrue, CEO of Saladworks. “While 3rd party solutions have provided a convenient option to offer delivery services, the high cost is unsustainable for an industry already grappling with increasing food and labor costs. Qu’s delivery management platform offers an excellent option to complement our existing efforts.”

With Qu’s delivery product, restaurants can automatically route orders to drivers and the kitchen, provide customers with estimated delivery times, and track deliveries in real time. In addition, restaurants can optimize driver allocation and utilization based on smart routing algorithms that minimize delivery times. The product’s driver app for IOS and Android devices lets drivers accept orders, connect with customers for delivery clarifications, take payments and tips, and provide photographic and signature delivery confirmations. The product also provides customer and driver analytics.

Designed for enterprise-scale chains, Qu’s delivery platform lets companies manage their stores, menus, pricing, and employees from an in-house cloud-based central hub, eliminating the need to create and manage multiple versions of the menu. With a click of a button, items can be removed that don’t travel well and delivery surcharges can be added.

“Food delivery is one of the fastest growing segments in the fast casual and quick service restaurant industry,” said Amir Hudda, CEO of Qu. “We’re excited to offer an in-house delivery solution that allows our customers to continue to invest in delivery without the fear of margin erosion.”
