Qu’s Summer 2026 Product Release Highlights

Learn about the 50+ updates across Kiosk, POS, KDS, Enterprise Intelligence, and Notify that Qu shipped this summer.

August 5, 2026

Restaurants lose valuable opportunities to improve margins every day, but they quietly slip away. The loyalty guest who couldn't figure out how to log in and moved on, the kitchen station working without context from the screen next to it, the pricing update that took a week when it should have taken an hour.

The difference between capturing it and losing it often comes down to how well the platform supports the people working in those moments.

This summer, Qu shipped 50+ updates across Kiosk, POS, KDS, Enterprise Intelligence, and Notify. Each designed to help brands convert more guests, execute faster, and operate with greater confidence at scale.

Here are some examples of how that value comes to life.

Revenue Growth Through Stronger Guest Engagement

Third Cross-Sell Placement at Checkout (Kiosk)

A new cross-sell placement now appears at the kiosk checkout screen, joining the existing post-add-to-cart and pre-checkout placements. With more screen space and higher purchase intent than any earlier step in the flow, checkout is the highest-value upsell moment.

The Value
More opportunities to surface high-margin add-ons at the right time, exactly where guests are already primed to say yes.

Incentivio Scan to Pay (Kiosk & POS)

Guests scan a QR code from the Incentivio app to validate loyalty, apply offers, use stored payment, and accrue points; all in a single flow, available on both kiosk and POS.

The Value
A frictionless path from loyalty to payment increases offer redemption and keeps the line moving without adding steps for staff or guests.

Spendgo Kiosk Enrollment via Phone Number (Kiosk)

Guests entering a phone number not yet in Spendgo can be prompted to enroll via text directly from the kiosk. The enrollment prompt language is fully customizable.

The Value
Every kiosk order becomes a loyalty enrollment opportunity without requiring staff involvement or interrupting the ordering flow.

Customizable Loyalty Prompt Subheader (Kiosk)

The guest-facing loyalty enrollment prompt subheader can now be customized, along with the header and button, to more clearly communicate program benefits and drive in-the-moment sign-ups.

The Value
Better-framed prompts convert more first-time guests into enrolled members by giving them enticing enrollment incentives and information.

Hide Points Balance & Redemption UI (POS)

Brands running non-points-based loyalty programs can now suppress points balances and redemption controls at POS, surfacing only the elements relevant to their program.

The Value
A purpose-built loyalty experience reduces guest confusion and keeps the interaction focused on what the program actually delivers.

Punchh App-First Enrollment (POS)

Brands can leverage their mobile app to capture new Punchh enrollments while still supporting full lookup and redemption for existing members at the POS.

The Value
Drive digital adoption and app engagement, which directly correlate with higher lifetime value, without disrupting the experience for current members.

Guest-Initiated Loyalty on the Guest-Facing Display (POS)

Guests can now enter their phone number, unlock rewards, and apply points directly on the guest-facing display while the cashier continues building the order.

The Value
Loyalty capture occurs in parallel with the ordering process, rather than as an added step, preserving speed of service without sacrificing enrollment or redemption.

Loyalty Lookup in Check Attributes (POS)

Loyalty lookup has been added into the check attributes panel, removing the need to navigate through the payments menu.

The Value
Fewer taps per transaction and a more intuitive flow for cashiers, especially at high volume.

Punchh Loyalty Tier on KDS Orders & Kitchen Chits

A guest's Punchh loyalty tier now appears on KDS orders and kitchen chits, giving kitchen staff immediate visibility into who they're preparing for.

The Value
Top-tier loyalty guests get recognized where it counts: at the line, not just the register, which closes the loop on loyalty execution across the entire operation.

Order Status Progress Bar & Hero Message

The guest-facing Order Status display now includes a configurable progress bar and hero message to communicate order progress and reinforce brand presence while orders are being prepared.

The Value
Reduce perceived wait time, set clear expectations, and extend the brand experience from order submission to pickup.

Cross-Sell Reporting by Channel & Order Type

Cross-sell performance is now reportable by channel and order type, giving operators a clearer view of where upsell strategies are working.

The Value
Know which channels convert and where opportunity remains, without manual exports or offline analysis.

Operating Cost Reduction & Risk Mitigation

Automatic Nutritional Labeling (Kiosk)

Nutritional warnings now appear automatically based on configurable nutrient thresholds; no manual setup per item required. Brands can configure location-specific disclosures to meet the specific requirements of jurisdictions such as New York City and Philadelphia.

The Value
Visibility and automation built into the menu and location flows can help to protect the brand from regulatory exposure and build guest trust, without adding operational overhead.

Break & Compliance Prompts at Timeclock (POS)

Brands can configure yes/no acknowledgment questions at clock-in and clock-out, store responses per employee, and export compliance reports. California labor requirements are the primary use case.

The Value
Flexible, rules-based prompts built into the workflow, not added after the fact, reduce liability exposure and eliminate manual tracking for managers.

Streamlined Drive-Thru Vehicle Identification (POS)

Car type and color selection have been combined into a single modal step with refreshed icons and a visible order tag, reducing taps at the window and keeping the order screen moving at lane speed.

The Value
Faster vehicle identification across daily transactions compounds into measurable improvement in service time scores.

Enterprise Agility & Rollout Speed

Menu Version Visibility (Enterprise Intelligence)

Overrides are now easier to identify at a glance across items and platform settings, making it faster to spot configuration differences across the menu hierarchy.

The Value
Less time diagnosing pricing inconsistencies. More confidence that what's configured matches what guests see.

Bulk Pricing Upload via Multiple Zipped CSVs (Enterprise Intelligence)

Pricing uploads now support batched multi-file zips, enabling up to 40,000 updates in a single action.

The Value
Large-scale pricing changes, including seasonal menus, LTO rollouts, and cost-driven adjustments, execute faster with significantly less manual effort.

Context Definition Copies from Any Reference (Enterprise Intelligence)

Configuration can now be copied from any context definition*, not just the default. Full configurations are preserved when moving items between categories, including price versions, modifiers, and subcategories.

*Context refers to the specific circumstance a menu item's configuration applies to, such as a channel, day-part, or promotion, and each context definition stores its own price, modifiers, and other settings for that variant

The Value
Faster, more accurate setup reduces configuration errors and accelerates rollouts across complex menu structures.

Labor & Product Efficiency in the Kitchen

6-Column KDS Layout

The KDS now renders six columns in small font view, up from five, increasing the number of concurrent orders visible on screen without additional hardware. Compatible with spy view and KPI counter view.

The Value
One extra column during peak hours means less scrolling, fewer missed tickets, and faster response across the line.

Real-Time Item State Sync Across Stations

Production KDS screens now reflect item actions taken on other devices in real time, aligning production and fulfillment KDS behavior and eliminating blind spots between stations.

The Value
Less verbal coordination. Fewer remakes. A cleaner handoff from cook to expo exactly when throughput is highest.

One-Step Completion Mode

A new simplified item state workflow allows kitchen teams to complete an order or item in a single step, alongside the existing two-step option.

The Value
Teams can configure the workflow that fits their station, giving them tighter control where it's needed, faster throughput where it's not.

Item State Accessibility Improvements

Item-state indicators now distinguish status by shape and fill, in addition to color, making status readable across a wider range of conditions and users.

The Value
More accessible, more scannable indicators reduce misreads during peak service, when split-second accuracy matters most.

Load Balancing by Item

Load balancing now supports splitting by individual item, not just by full order, giving kitchens finer-grained control over how production load is distributed across KDS devices.

The Value
Dedicated stations stay balanced even when order sizes vary, reducing bottlenecks and keeping every device at capacity.

Custom Kitchen Categories for Chits & KDS Counters

Kitchen chits and KDS item counters now support fully custom category names, replacing fixed labels like Food, Drink, and Combo with terminology that reflects the brand's actual menu and kitchen workflow.

The Value
Chit grouping that speaks your kitchen's language, translating to faster reads, more accurate prep, and less confusion across stations.

Hourly Sales Report with Labor Cost %

The hourly sales report now includes labor cost as a percentage of net sales, eliminating the manual calculation previously required.

The Value
Managers see revenue and labor together in one view, enabling faster, better-informed scheduling decisions in the moment.

Notify Visual Redesign

The Notify app has been redesigned to improve readability and enable faster in-the-moment decision-making.

The Value
Less time navigating, more time acting on what the data shows, especially during high-stakes service periods.

New Labor Views in Notify

Four new labor perspectives: labor cost, net sales per labor hour, cover counts per labor hour, and labor as a percentage of net sales.

The Value
Deeper labor visibility directly inside the tools operators already use without additional exports or manual consolidation required.

The Big Picture

Technology should remove friction, not create it.

This summer's enhancements are designed to bring more revenue at the register and more efficiency behind it, providing operational confidence across every layer of the platform.
